Dr. Murphy & Dr. Campbell receive MSFHR funding awards

Two researchers at the Centre of Excellence in Cancer Prevention are recipients of the first Reach awards from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. The awards will support the dissemination and uptake of research evidence to inform and improve further research, practice, and policy-making.

Dr. Rachel Murphy, together with Mr. Phil Pollock at the Vancouver Prostate Centre, received funding for a project entitled, “Development of e-learning videos to facilitate uptake and reach of nutrition evidence as part of supportive care for prostate cancer patients across BC.”

Dr. Kristin Campbell, together with a team of researchers, received funding for a project entitled, “Enhancing supportive care for cancer survivors with exercise support in BC (SUCCESS BC).”

A total of 16 teams received awards in this competition.
